fishball79 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2003 The grado headphones will sound loud enough with most portables. Newer portable players esp MD players tend to sound softer than older ones. I'm happy with a pair of SR225s with an old Sony DT405
Blues 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2003 yeap, I am sure they can be driven fine out of laptop jacks and portables.
evil-zen 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2003 yeap definitely. but MDs nowadays sound better than the crappy sony pcdp on the market now.
N@Z 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2003 I used to have an SR80 which I used on my Sharp MD & Sony PCDP. They worked fine with no problems putting out high volume but obviously benifited with amplification (in the case of the PCDP since it had a line-out). evo 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2003 yep, but remember that they're a pair of very open headphones i tried b4 using them on a bus and found myself having to turn up the volume higher then normal
Rameish 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2003 For bus/train usage you need to get a closed headphone. And most of the good ones need an amp.
