Caps, caps and more caps... =) Side view with the daugther board installed; There actually is a chip that does some of the D/A conversion on this board. It seems to be a Legato-link chip. The daugther board in full view. I forgot to get shots of the underside though. There are about 10 dual-opamps on this thing. The Silmics and Muse caps on the power rails made the player sound cleaner. The blacks were blacker. Rel caps & Cerafines on the output. These cleared up the sound. Less muddy and with more details. =) Close-up of the Pulseflow DAC. Just about every cap surrounding it was changed. Blutak is good for health too.. Damping of the oscillator and crystal.
