Other wireless headphones use either FM radio waves for analog transmission (poor sound but good penetration of walls), or digital transmission (good sound) but via infrared (must be within line of sight of transmitter). Benefits of Amphony: * Full frequency response (compared to the expensive Sennheiser RS series which are limited to 15kHz top end, and use dynamic range compression like FM radio in order to fit within the RF freq range) * Good penetration of walls and you do not have to be within line of sight of transmitter. * Up to 100hrs of use with one AAA battery.
