If like me you don't want just a single artiste so as to have more variety, you might want to check out those classical compilation CDs. Tons of them these days, some are even packaged as "relaxing". Don't buy those trashy "sounds of nature" things, though - they're absolute rubbish and, if you just happen to like those, can be downloaded free from the net.

I highly recommend:

Olivia Ong - Fall In Love With

SENS - Greatest Hits

These are 2 albums I always listen to after a long day just before bedtime.

Helps me to sleep better (:

I have two recommendations if you like jazz and classical pieces.

Late Night Brubeck (Telarc): Four talented musicians ,led by Brubeck on the piano, give a live performance from the Blue Note, spontaneous and improvisory, so relaxing. The 70-minute recording includes the lovely Koto song. But the cd is hard to get locally.

Glenn Gould....And Serenity (Sony): Relax and let yourself go...15 dreamy recordings (from the burb).

"The purpose of art is not the release of a momentary ejection of adrenaline but is, rather, the gradual, lifelong construction of a state of wonder and serendity" - Glen Gould. Just believe him!
