I have been looking for headphones for my new iPod Nano, I want to get earbuds, that can thump a lot of bass. Anything under $40.00 is my aim.

Headphones?? then try the classified for a used pair of KOSS SPortapro (new at $60++).. They are great for bass and they sound heavenly

Phillips 9500 in ear 'phones...

 

Kind of like Sony EX71s but cleaner top and bottom ends, and much more prominent (not in a negative way) mids

i have the philips 9500. they sound a tad muddy and boxy.

 

if you can stretch your budget a bit, get the creative ep630. i using it with my ipod video. very good sound.

Sennheiser MX500s (not the 550s) and you can even get them in white now.

bang for the buck. (abt $30)
