DIY-ed cables

for the past few weeks been busy with SOHA board

and also the class A MOSFET power stage.

after those two have been taken care of, I did some cable jobs

 

1. Mini-mini canare F-12 using belden cat5E inside

 

2. Mini-mini of 1m length, using teflon insulated silver plated copper, stranded. then the wires are litz-braided

 

3. EMU-0404 custom breakout. using the same wire as item 2, also litz-braided

 

4. recabled a koss ksc35 for new_type (too lazy to type exact nick name of his)

using teflon spc too, with neutrik right-angled plug

He is correct.

 

For the American Wire Gauge, the higher the number, the thinner the conductor.

i've been thinking of buying a gigantic reel of ohno OCC copper to play around with

 

pure silver is available too but dam ex at 17 per metre there abouts.

Hi newbie here, do you diy cables for people? Thinking of 18 ft, Canare plugs and Belden cable, stereo connection, for guitar? Any suggestions?

afaik guitars use mono connection with 1/4 inch plugs

LHS at SLT lvl 2 will be able to do that for you with a wide range of cables to choose from.

just found my old Rodek cables which i thought i lost them... disected the core and looks in good shape.... soooooo,,, i revived it with mesh and new plugs...

some of my work today. for a forum member actually. how i wished my switchcraft is here.

 

MINI-RCA

material : Canare Starquad L4E6S, F-12, F-10

 

it's fully shieded from F-12 until the both ends of F-10(even inside the Y-split), and the gound is uni-directional to the F-12 side. :idea:

As usual, colour-coded RCA ended.

 

Here comes the Y-Split. spent hours on this :thumbs:

Nice touch on the cables. The Y-split is interesting though. I had no idea that it is even available locally.
