Music that bring tears to your eyes

Recommended Posts

Agreed. The chorus simply fits in both stanzas.

The main gist is that love is timeless, be it parental love, romantic love, etc. The grandfather in this story was once a boy, just like his current grandchild, and understands his perspective on things (he said boy, you might not understand).

Finally, it says that dedication and love transends all boundaries, even death.

Must have been their wedding vow though, "in sickness or in health, in living or in death".

The Lonely Shepherd, by Zamfir. I got to know of this piece of music from the soundtrack of Kill Bill Vol.1 (of all places :)) )

There is something plaintive in the musical arrangement that just tugs the heart. Say what you want of Quentin Tarantino, but this guy knows how to choose his music.

And a particular fav piano piece from David foster, from he's album " Songs without words" - Water fountain.

OMG.... at last, someone mentioned David Foster!!!

he's a great composer since the early 80s if i am not wrong.

and ya... his 'Water fountain' is nice.

another sad piano piece by him titled 'Saji', taken from his album "David Foster",

it was from 2 decades ago. :cans:

no one mentioned Jim Brickman?

try his 'Sweet dreams' taken from his album titled 'Ballads', from 1997.

i remembered my IRC friend had sent me a very sad piano piece 5 years ago,by S.E.N.S.and she told me she got it from one of her friends whom have died from cancer, and yeah... my tears was dripping when i heard the piano piece..

taken from S.E.N.S' album titled 'Songs for the heart' - like the wind.

try it,i strongly recommend it.i believe this is the only piano piece which touches my heart most, for now.

another piece from them too, titled 'Heart of glass',same album from the year 2003.

The theme from "Once Upon a Time in the West" as performed by Yo-yo Ma on this album.

IPB Image

Sounds very sad, and Yo-Yo Ma brings out the mood very well.

I am curious to know what the movie was about to require such sad music, so I went YouTube-ing. Not that sad after all :P
