aegisofrime 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2006 These are FAR from in-ear monitors. Even Creative are not calling them as such. Can you elaborate on this? Are you referring to the sound quality? I just noticed they're referred to as noise cancelling earphones. Feels a bit wrong. It's totally wrong. Well guess Creative doesn't even know their own products. I just noticed they're referred to as noise cancelling earphones. Feels a bit wrong. As creative website stated, " noise isolation earphone" not "noise cancelling earphone", and since it's employing balanced armature drivers like Westone and Ultimate Ears, I reckon I would consider them IEM earphones too. DiGdUb 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2006 those defintely look like the super-fi 3. this pic makes me believe so even more. anyway, one of the reasons why i respect creative is they try to bring 'high-end' phones to the masses. the ath-fc7, sharp md33, and now the superfi 3. this shows they actually go find out what sounds good, instead of branding any high-end looking china knock-offs and pass it off as some high end phones. At least you know now that the piece of thing in your ears cost $200+ I'm sorry, but I do NOT know that these cost $200+ because Creative hasn't come back to me with the RRP. I DO know that these cost $99USD. but it's a moot point. The official RRP will be published with the review.

Ya man. Earphones are not their forte. Want good earphones, have to outsource. Unless you're Sony. It looks like a single driver design. I dun see dual drivers. redalf 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2006 it's priced at $99USD, so unless Sim Wong Hoo wants to rip singaporeans off (more/again) $219 is a strange price. So you think paying much more for Shure or Ety is not being ripped off? Btw, can you comment on your review set? I'll like to know more about its quality before commenting on its price...
