Initial listening using a cheapo portable player using JJ 6922 and NOS Sylvania 6DJ8 seems very promising. No distortion nor the dreaded hum. I will replace the JJ and Sylvania once I deemed it's stable enough with the tubes I stated above (1st message). Pics coming next week? maybe. Only bad thing is that the inside isn't pretty! Was considering using a PCB for all the component except for the tubes but people from diyaudio.com and headwize.com have suggested point-to-point is the best sonically with tubes.
