Guest mitchjs Report post Posted June 22, 2006 hello all, i need some advice, im not a "analog" guy, i did a ipod interface to Sony Car audio system which is all digital i take the analog ipod dock line out, and it feeds a analog in on the sony XES p1, and inside turns into digitial and get processed the design of their input, is a buffer amp, to a opamp (njm082) then to a AK5339 A-D-C what is happening is the IPODs level is much lower then the CD (direct optical) and i want to raise the level up, i dont want to mod the XES p1 , so i figured if i boost the line level, id get more input, therefore more to the A-D-C the imput impeadance is much higher then any headphones, > 10k can i still use one of these "cmoy" opamp designes to feed this? i would use something like the OPA2227 my design would not be battery powered, but 12vdc so i need something to get my rails, i could use a DC/DC converter get +/- 9 dc any thoughts, can anyone point me to the right design... thanks all mitch
