Where can I get Mogami cables here?

As per Belden 19364, the drain wire is supposed to ground the aluminious foil jacket to ground at the AC outlet end but lifted (cut away) at the IEC.

Mogami cables are not easily available locally. Try Akihabara in Tokyo for all the "exotic" ones.

oh gosh! i just got a reply from ahfartaudio and apparently even the wondersolder is 4% silver!

It's futile to seek 20% silver solder and if available, it's not gonna be easy to work it onto the joints.

i had actually seen a thread somewhere on head-fi concerning 20% silver solder, and was just curious as to whether i would be able to find it in singapore.

 

 

 

however you do state a true fact- after some research into the sort of solders that silversmiths and goldsmiths use, IIRC the approx melting point of high content silver solder (>30%) is about 500C.

 

not exactly what i'd call a eutectic solder.
