Nu_Omega 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 for led zeppelin ani gd songs to recommend?? so far its nots appealing to me... sounds more country like .. You can try their fourth album, (it has no title but is often called Led Zeppelin IV). Its their best selling album....try "Black Dog", "Rock and Roll" and of course "Stairway to Heaven" Other than the above, "Whole Lotta Love" and "Immigrant Song" should fit the bill for hard rock. 1bit 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 for led zeppelin, i'm gonna need to recommend you this album. it is by far their best live and compilation album in terms of techniques/musicianship and sound quality. imho most of their studio album suffers from bad sound quality due to the recording, but not this album. i just can't find any word to describe their performance. it's just magnificent to say the least. jimmy page is amazing here. listen to him play his guitar like a violin in dazed and confused. wow this live album is recorded in 1972 while they are touring in california, and as the title suggest it is really 'how the west was won' over by led zeppelin. Nu_Omega 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 Well said The early 70s is the time where Jimmy Page felt that Led Zeppelin were at their artistic and musical peak. Many concert attendence records were smashed during their tours and that itself speak volumes. (OT a bit, their double DVD set which shows their concert performance rocks man!!) Sorry mate, but i'd have to disagree here.. Early led zep, page was technically much better, maybe its because of less/no drugs Want proof? Nu_Omega 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2006 Hello, Correct me if i'm wrong but i believed Page heroin addiction started like after the mid 70s?? I strongly agree that his addiction to heorin and booze really affected his playing during the later years. He wasn't very sober during their Live Aid performance in 1985 But nervertheless....give them props for their contribution dude. Cheers
absolut 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2006 And of course, don't forget the one and only Pink Floyd Start out with The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon and when you're completely stoned ready for more advance to Wish You Were Here and The Final Cut. When you're truly ready, you can listen to the other albums. Best enjoyed whole album with gapless playback.
Nu_Omega 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2006 Ar yes...PINK FLOYD, and i've become comfortably numb.......... I tried Dark Side of The Moon, its sounded quite dark and haunting...eerie to a certain extend IMO, a very unique way of presenting their music though. Guess its time to get The Wall. Classic Rock kick a** man!! Just felt that modern rock is losing its appeal, unlike the good old virtuoso playing of past legends. Alter Bridge is an exception ba.
