recommendation on getting 2 grados..

grado 325i and above and possibly a lower end grado or even Alessandro line of headphones.

 

Reason : 2 different headphones for different music genres.

 

 

Could anyone lists some personal recommendations ?

Grado 325i and above only have,

 

1. RS-2 $850

 

2. RS-1 $1200

 

3. GS-1000 $1600

 

For a lower end headphone I would suggest either a Alessandro MS-1 or Grado SR-80.

 

You should audition them and based on your personal music perference and MP3 player determine your choices. But I hope the above helps a bit.

I peronsally use the Grado SR-80 for listening to music while my Audio Technica ATH-AD700 is used for gaming.

One sounds really good, the other has a great kick.

Can't comment on SR60, since I never tried one before. I enjoy very much my MS1. I find it's a well balanced can, not too bright as smany said about MS1.
