afbug 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2006 search in Google, found out the retail price, only USD 15K lol, peanuts 15K not peanuts lah. 600K then peanuts. 15K is only a fraction of a peanut. Paddings can be replaced? HD650 family pads?
yotiao 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2006 it's really interesting, sound so good already with no high-end source and non-audiphiles power cords and interconnects and things like that, can't imagine how will it sounds with a better and proper setup. Many thanks to the owner, I finally heard the King of headphones. OT: So what's next? Stax Omega II? Buy buy buy quick...wow..
zonalblitz_audio 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 Haha! I'm pretty sure the owner bought it for more than 15K. Anyway, i read it online about a year ago that an Orpheus set was auctioned for USD $25,000. Whatever it is, hail the King~!

ahdui 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 (edited) here is my lousy description.. (gimme some lectures on explaining if any pros r free) the HE90 is thin sounding (relaxing, nt as forwarding as the akg k1000) details are so damn accurate that u crave to hear the next detail! fantastic soundstage too, it feels so open up. its something made for u to enjoy the music and it wouldnt make your ears fatigue after quite sometime. FANTASTIC. indeed the king of headphones. and sadly, this is the furthest we have reached. Edited September 28, 2006 by ahdui

scanfiend 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 here is my lousy description.. (gimme some lectures on explaining if any pros r free) the HE90 is thin sounding (relaxing, nt as forwarding as the akg k1000) Thin sounding?! Exactly what music have you been playing through the Orpheus? Or did you mix it up for the HE60 Baby Orpheus?
ahdui 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 (edited) no it was the big daddy of cos lol. sorri but what i can say is... my lousy description lol lets put it another way. its not bright, not very forwarding like the akg k1000. yet very very detailed. and yet it doesnt feel dull. "thin-sounding" is my own words lol pardon mi for my lousy descriptions lol, i only knows how to enjoy lol or maybe its transparent sounding like what many said... zonalblitz_audio 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 When it came to singing, no-one could match the skills of Orpheus in Greek Mythology. His voice could charm wild animals, and even trees and inanimate sontes are said to been moved by the magic of his song. In the same way, Sennheiser's Orpheus system is bound to enchant you too. The unique combination of a valve amplifier and electrostatic headphone results in pure unadulterated sound with incredile transparency. The listening pleasure delivered by the strictly limited edition Orpheus is unrivalled. - Sennheiser, 2001
evil-zen 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 I wonder where one can hear a koss and the 2 sennheiser electrostatics. The Stax electrostatic fan is curious!
