afbug 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2006 xenocide, thanks for the pics. Is the new Nano longer or the same size? I also notice in your sig that you're using those Eneloop batts. Good? Hold charge approx how long?
Stereo_Electronics 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2006 hmm... pretty true... probrably get like 5 sets to test market? (1 for audition purpose ) Actually I'm already looking at the 10pro but waiting for finalized pricing from UE, as for E500, I've heard it and not very impressed therefore unless I can managed to get them cheap if not I'll still have to consider. I just got the batts.. using it with my PA2v2... since they say its "buy and use" without charge i'll see how long can thier factory charge last... but currently...i won't b using the amp with my nano as i've yet to get my Nano line out dock... replay 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2006 hmm... whn i 1st got it... i full charged it... then transfer about 500 songs into it... was thinkin... why not burn in my SF5Pro (do i need to??) anyway... i just let it play since yesterday ard 10pm at 50% volume Till now its still playing... albeit the batt bar is now towards the end (approx 20%+/-) so i guess the 24hrs playback time as per Apple is in fact genuine. The batt life is indeed a major step up from the 1st Gen Nanos... That's great.. the batt life on my H120 sux. But I'm so used to using rockbox firmware right now. Most prob will wait for a stable rockbox before getting it. Thanks anyway!

replay 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2006 i'm also waiting for Rockbox for 2ng Gen Nanos... iTunes is killing me! iPod is using the creative type of user interface right? Sorts file by Artist, Album, or Genre? In fact I like this kind of UI.. but the songs must be tagged properly. If you don't like iTunes I think there's some plugins which you can use to transfer file with Winamp also?

Rockbox will "eliminate" this.. i heard

Yeah from the pics, the new Nano seem slightly bigger but apple says its thinner only. PA2v2 is not a good guage as any kind of rechargeable batt will last long in it. You can try charging it and leave it stored in a case or so for 1-2 months and see if it can hold charge as promised but its gonna be a long wait to see results.
