a9fc 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2006 Eloz! I bought an X-fi Fatal1ty not long ago.. While I noticed a general increase in sound quality, I notice that a lot of bass that used to be pretty punchy with my old 2nd hand Audigy ZS now sounds very dronny and rumbly, with or w/o the CMSS and Crystals on. I first noticed it when playing DOTA (what...), the music for the elves, I realised a lot of low level details were missing but there was a lot of rumble.. Anybody noticed that? jmmtn4aj 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2006 Whats the speaker/headphones used? Could be just that you were mistaking high bass volume for detail previously.
a9fc 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2006 (edited) cheap inspire 4.1s... i put my paypal here u ppl donate? =p nah can't be...coz it wasn't the 'boomboomboom' rumble that was missing.. it was more like the background cello/support/bass notes..i mean that was another character in a cast Edited December 21, 2006 by a9fc
jmmtn4aj 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2006 Heh, I used to use Inspire T7900 7.1s with a 2ZS. The Inspire's bass could be very strong, but hardly what I could call 'good bass'. Could be that the X-fis extended the bass range down but your speakers are unable to produce it clearly.. I've sinced switched to an 0404, but before I switched fomr the 2ZS I started using my dads old bookshelves, so I don't know how well the 2ZS did bass compared to say, the 0404.
