matbon0013 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 My META mint uses the OPA 2132UA OP AMP, what would be the difference?
Wortel 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 This is f**ked. I dont know what the hell all these bits are or where to find them on this damn useless website Im gonna get help.
Northern Oak 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 My META mint uses the OPA 2132UA OP AMP, what would be the difference? Wortel: OPA2134 -> meant for audio use. It would help if you read the first page of the datasheet of the opamp. This way, you wouldn't end up cursing yourself mat: OPA2132 is fine as it's almost the same as OPA2134. I've heard that it's harder to make 2132 oscillate than the 2134. BTW, 2132 is no longer in production.
Northern Oak 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 Should I buy 2 incase I have an accident with 1?? If you're not good at soldering, you may need a spare cause prolong heat on the IC pins will burn the entire circuit. Preferred way is to get those 8 pins socket so that the opamp can sit in it only after you solder the socket.
Wortel 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 Should I use a socket? Im still not sure. Is there any advantage to not using them?
Wortel 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 Ok fishball convinced me to use a socket
