fuji s5700

hi all, planning to get the fuji s5700 but decided to ask around one last time before i commit myself.

any users here? and any feedback regarding this camera?

 

or do you have any other recommendations for a prosumer camera below the $500 mark, which is as far as i can stretch my budget

Haven't actually used it but some friends from the States came to SG and bought one each. Must be good value. The pics looked good too.

its certainly value for money, but what bugs me is the lack of image stabiliser and super CCD, therefore still looking out for other prosumers

yup, thats the model i am talking about, read the thread twice already.

for the price, the specs are really quite impressive.

 

for an entry level prosumer, i think this is one of the best deals around. workmanship shouldnt be too shoddy either, my brother's s5000 is 6 years old and still going strong

 

so any other models you all can recommend?

You will get more responses there. SGH digicam users are not that active here.

btw do u need the long zoom? if not I think the f31fd shd be good? super ccd
