kross 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 yo Heady, starting another project?? I thought you have the PINT already? I should be interested in 2 sets in 'high performance' version. When's the dateline?
heady 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 mouz - ok, can order without the opamps for you. Please confirm your order by posting on this thread. All - If we keep the number of people small, say less than 20, I think I can manage any other items from AMB. Remember, I prefer a time limit to orders, to be fair to those who ordered early. ezzo - please get the front and back panels from AMB separately. If you need help, pm me. This is because the panels are not ready and the whole order will be held back until they are ready. This is why I have not received my Mini3 pcb yet although I believe I was the first in SG to order it. u can get the alps pot locally I would be interested in getting some matched jfets, would it be possible Yeah, Wells Audio sells them and Koba too. Although, I found that Wells' pots have very large tabs for soldering point to point for tube amps rather than the pins which is for PCB.
kross 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 Hi Heady, I want two sets of the Mini3 options 1. If it is possible can I take out the 2 AD8397ARDZ because I have spares? Otherwise it is ok. One thing, what about the other common parts, such as the reisistors and capacitors?

heady 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2007 (edited) Hi Heady, I want two sets of the Mini3 options 1. If it is possible can I take out the 2 AD8397ARDZ because I have spares? Otherwise it is ok. One thing, what about the other common parts, such as the reisistors and capacitors? The other parts will be easily obtainable from Sim Lim Tower. They are just normal through-hole resistors and capacitors. Since there are people who don't want the opamps, it is ok, the group buy is not so complicated yet. I also had some AD8397 left over from the PINT. But mine are AD8397ARZ, ie without the cooling surface. So, kross, please send me confirmation that you want your two sets both without opamps. I have added the dateline to the first post. Re: PINT. Aiyah itchy DIY fever lah. Edited August 23, 2007 by heady
kross 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2007 Hi Heady, ok pls give me 2 sets with ONLY 2x "U4 - OPA690ID " as I have 2 extra pieces of AD8397ARDZ. Thank you very much. Haha, ya, diy fever very hard to cure huh.. I also just finished another project. Anyway, the Mini schematic build is similar to the PINT, and also using the same op-amp so I was wondering how the sound is going to compare. Any idea from the headwize threads? I think the sound with the AD8397 should be similar to the PINT. But at least we hope this will be more stable. No one has compared the Mini3 to the Pint yet. I am more interested in the extended runtime edition.
