PPkiller: Check with you.. what is the stock opamp inside your iBasso D1?

Have you tried the LMH6643 as buffer and the LTC6241HV for the L/R?

Mine came with 6234 L/R opamps and 5532 buffers.

I prefer the treble and bass of the OPA2111 for the LR and 6241HV for the mids.

The 8656 sounds really good on the DAC too. Tried it outputted to a Move... very sweet. But definitely not portable

shall we have a little meet to hear the sounds from the D1s that we have? how about mid dec so that there's sufficient burn-in time for the D1s?

Probably chip in a bit with something slightly off topic.

If you are using OPA627, look for Carlosfm's tip on how to decouple the 627s. You can find that at diyhifi.org. I recall having a small decoupling MKP cap between V+ and V- and then decoupling between V+ & Gnd and V- & Gnd. The important thing to note is to keep the wire leads of the caps as close to the 627 pins as possible.

I hear significant differences doing so for the OPA627.
