variablefeedback 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2008 Anyone want to chip in on this 24V Aikido headphone amp PCB board? It is currently of stock but I was thinking of doing a MO for this forum. It will saves on shipping cost since it is flat rate US$20, regardless of no. of PCB ordered. PLease refer to 24V Aikido Line Stage and Headphone Amplifier for more info. The PCB board can be found here: 1) Complete Stepped Attenuator Kit Including the resistors, switches, PCB, and instructions 2) 24V Aikido Tube Line Stage and Headphone Amplifier It looks much easier to build than a Millet MAX, much less parts and stuffs, and cheaper too. 1bit 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2008 Hi variablefeedback I'm interested in getting only the aikido pcb. The step attenuator is a bit expensive to me. Is it okay to buy only the aikido pcb?
variablefeedback 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2008 (edited) The step attenuator is a bit expensive to me. It was US$35 (I think)a few weeks ago with cheaper switches ... Anyway, I had emailed Glassware regarding their stock of 24V Aikido PCB. Edited February 18, 2008 by variablefeedback
1bit 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2008 really? wow $35 to $160 that's a huge jump but i think a good switch makes all the difference with good switch the tactile feedback feels really smooth but it's still too expensive for me probably it's time to try potentiometer ic with rotary encoder combo plus a little microcontroller and a nice lcd/oled display that'll be cool
variablefeedback 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2008 (edited) http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=8414 let me know which one you fancy the most :-) I will be buying the attenuator and chassis from my3c since it will be less than S$200 shipped. zenesh 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2008 Oh my!!! I was eyeing the stepped attenuator when it was $35. He had no stock then (about December). Wonder if can get the board from him and just source our own switches. VT4c has 23 way switches too http://www.vt4c.com/shop/program/main.php?...d=60&group_id=2 I have my3c 10k ladder resistor unused sets if you do want. When are you ordering the 24V aikido boards? I want to get also. The tubes where are you going to source them? Regards
