adhoc 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2003 firefox: will a neutrik 1/4" plug do? realised the trick was to just leave the iron on the plug for a while longer - ~1 min. and then sodlering with silver solder was a breeze; have since made myself a nice 3m long extension cable. Not really. Neutrik plugs are easy jobs. A little soldering paste or rosin and their convinced. You can choose to leave the iron of low wattage on the contact to wait for it to heat up enough for solder to flow or apply a high wattage iron for a split second and get your joint. It's up to you.
