Ipod 5.5g left and right channels reversed

My rockboxed ipod 5.5g has reversed stereo! I can't really remember when it happened but lately it's been really bothering me.

 

I've ascertained that the problem lies not with the music files nor my earphones but the ipod itself.

 

Anyone can help?

have you tried playing via non-rockbox? might be rockbox software error.

has it always been the case? if's it's still under warranty u might wanna go have it checked out.

Nope not always e case. Not under warranty already.

 

I suppose it's a hardware problem?

 

But I wonder how that could be as I have never tinkered with the hardware or modified anything whatsoever.

odd. if you've changed the firmware it should be hardware. but why didnt you notice until now?

I already noticed it some time back but I was using the ER4 predominantly so it wasn't a problem as I could just use the left earpiece for my right ear and vice versa.

 

But things changed when I started using the SE530, to which the aforementioned cannot be done.

diy a short cable reversing the left and right lo. the headphone jacks of the ipods are connected to the mainboard via ribbons, cant fix unless replace it, or maybe it's not even the jack's fault.
