Xtra X-1 portable amp problem

It seems like the amp only functions normally when being charged from wall socket. After disconnecting the charger, before 1/2 a minute is over, the sound becomes garbled and distorted.

 

Can anyone shed some light?

if inside have battery,is the batteries old already?overcharged or something might affect the lifespan of the inner battery i guess?

The internal battery is not new but not that old.

 

Besides, I seldom use this amp; so it's kinda puzzling.

seldom use?as in how long never use already? the batter might have leakage or something?try to replace the battery with new set and try again?

If you leave your batteries inside for too long without using the batteries may start to leak and if this happens, the metal coil that connects the battery might rust as well and you might need to replace a new battery holder.
