radioactive28 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2010 How are IEMs with changeable filters, e.g., ER-6/i, E4c, handled? Are they eligible for reshelling? I should think they won't do away with the filter entirely, ER-6i sounds harsh and unrefined without its filter.

radioactive28 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2010 (edited) Thanks. Any remolded-E4c users can comment, if the sound does change significantly enough? Edited February 8, 2010 by radioactive28

direcow 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 Congrats! How is it with the TWag cable? early impressions are good, esp after a slight bit of settling in. I have my colour dots facing down, is that correct? Sounded better to me, but i was messing around on the bus. Pins are also quite tight, but otherwise it's all good. Love the flexibility. I'll give it a bit more run in before i revisit this
Duck-in-the-Box 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 i was told that the pins should face up :/
direcow 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 hmz ok... I'll go try the cables again. How about null cables - any idea? I'll post some pics too: SF5EB remolded: For jogging! Haha SuperFreQs remolded:
kchew 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 I test the polarity of my ES2 and TWag cables with a multimeter, and in both cases the coloured pins face up. Fun fact: the ES2 cable is a 2ohm load while the TWag is 0.7ohms.

Haha SuperFreQs remolded: those are very sweet ears ! especially the remoulded red freQs with the twag, their colors definitely complement each other very well ! is it me, or are your ears very slim ? those are definitely a very unique set of ears that you have there

direcow 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2010 Is that a hole i see drilled in the EBs?? Btw what colour are your customs. Looks damn nice. yep the EBs have a vent hole (yay! If not I wouldn't have gone for it) Red + Black and Purple. very simple The purple is reaaaally nice, even tho i kinda wanted green, but talking to UM got to be quite the hassle (intermittent replies) so I just stuck to basic colours. Duck-in-the-Box 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2010 for enyo the dot should be facing you. so the sound sounds better with the dot facing down or up? :X
