You seem at ease with DIY cables, does it really make a difference? I'm Fiio L2 10cm to connect my Zune HD to cMoy portable and was looking at this Hisoundaudio 3.5mm to 3.5mm Golden Inter Cable (24K golden plated jack) http://www.cafr.ebay.ca/itm/380384971382?s...984.m1423.l2649, when someone told me not spent money for nothing since cooper is cooper!

high sound is just copper, the jack being gold plated is normal to prevent patina/rust

yeah for some mods it does make a difference in the sound

but most obvious difference comes when different material is used

Can you elaborate on this''most obvious difference comes when different material is used'', would it be worth to invest in a different cable then Fiio L2 for better sound or useless with equipment I have?

for me i cant hear much difference between the cables used

Ok ,which applies only on changeable earphone-headphone cables! What's those specs we often find on premium cables "Ultra Pure Silver Plated Oxygen Free Copper (UP SPOFC) and Ultra Pure Oxygen Free Copper (UPOFC)" as these:http://www.audiovisualonline.co.uk/product/1516/van-damme-stereo-3.5mm-jack-to-jack-cable/?source=aw&utm_source=AffiliateWindow&awc=3586_1343354986_887cd275f986ed48220c26b040c9ac67

just the purity of copper/silver and how it is processed

oxygen free so the copper does not oxidise(rust)

but most current audio cables are oxygen free
