Couldn't Jan have opted for a slightly less dominating "vent-protector"? EDIT: I figured out now. I would not go so far to say that this is “the” amp for the K-1000, but for those users of the K-1000 who have not yet found the right amplifier and like to have only one headphone amp, the Opera is sure worth a try.
