can anyone explain to me wat is brightness ?
Let me make it easy for you. If you were sound asleep and someone drew the curtain and exposed you to bright sunlight, the subsequent expression on your face will be quite similar to when your ears are hit with excessive aural brightness.

From what people have mentioned of the PA2v2 compared to LDM+, at first the LDM+ would appear to have lean bass but it's actually the PA2v2 having boosted bass. So if you want a more neutral response, the LDM+. For more bass, the PA2v2. YMMV
I have not tried or measured the frequency response of LDM+ but here's some food for thought, in regard to the PA2V2's performance in the bass department. I've also highlighted my findings to Gary who promised to up the ante in this aspect if a version 3 were to be produced. PC2 denotes Porta Corda 2, a portable amp from Meier Audio.

Bass is where the PC2 excels over PA2V2. Using a home theater calibration disc, the former starts to roll off around 50Hz but earlier for the latter at about 63Hz region. Bass depth is also shallower with the PA2V2 which becomes inaudible (to me) at 28Hz while the PC2 scores better at 25Hz. In fact, I can hear a very soft rumble at 22Hz with the latter but it could be placebo effect. 3Hz may seem miniscule but each Hz lower in the low bass region is a challenge for even a full range power amp, let alone speakers. -
Albert Lau from the now defunct Anything Audio, still has access to Beyer's pro products. Please sms/call him on his mobile at 97543050. I've already notified him of your interest.

As dle4e_2005 has correctly mentioned, the rules and regulations in this section require all interested parties to direct their enquiries to the seller via pm/email. Your cooperation is very much appreciated.

Although we are off track now, I wish to add the Amaze is very particular on the amp it partners with. Take your time and select a good one to feed it.

Don't use super glue for aesthetic reason. A milder and nicer solution is this particular glue sold in Popular Bookstore. I can't remember the name but it's in a squeeze bottle (white) that looks quite similar to Tipp-Ex (U know, the red squeeze bottle?). I can't recall the brand off hand. The beauty of it is it's milky white when wet and tranparent when dry. It's also easy to apply. This glue is meant for handycraft.

I reckon you need better amplification. During the era of AA, I once bought a pair of JBL Power 20 to use as backup amp for my Dynaudio Acoustics speakers (Sensitivity 85dB, impedance 4ohms). It costs $250 each and I got a special deal for buying a pair. From its sonic and operational characteristics, I have reasons to believe it's a class A amp.

IEMs were meant to be used by musicians and stage performers and only in recent years do we see audiophiles getting into it. In short, the answer to your question is affirmative. One thing great about having treble rolloff is the less chance of suffering from fatigue on prolonged usage.
-
Your ears are functioning just fine. UM2 has the same treble rolloff too. It's less apparent with comply short tips and Shure medium size tips though. Increasing playback volume does improve treble details but overall, it seem SF is more balanced sounding. Instead of opting for a switch, I suggest you play around with tips.
-
In a nutshell, they are suitable for all kinds of music, much akin to chicken rice being suitable for consumption in all seasons. The key element is personal preference. U gotta try it for yourself. I believe previous threads have already highlighted the sonic characteristics of SF3 and UM1.
-
In layman's term, treble rolloff means the higher frequencies sounded softer.

I've repaired a few Beyer DT770 pro for friends in pro audio and my own DT831 cans, usually its driver failure or in the case of the former, frayed cables or broken phono plugs. These headsets must have had gone through torture by their users.
-
If you are pondering over room treatment, drop by Soundscape and speak to Joseph on his Eigth Nerve products. It's reasonably cost and very effective.
-
I did........but with the power cable unplugged..........
-
oorrrr....arrrrr..ooorrrrr...arrrr......kekeke....
-
I'm afraid a cable shall not contribute to an increase in dynamics as it's a job for the amp and speakers as a whole. Generally, you need an amp with more muscle to increase its dynamic headroom.

agree with Mackie, cost saving covers the lack of warranty, btw i don't think think there is serial number on HD650, so it doesn;t matter where you buy from. A friend bought his HD650 from albert of AA at $520 and was told it was from HK, i guess it is alright to say now since AA isn;t around anymore
Don't let this perturb your friend. Sennheiser Asia, like Peak Fusion for Beyer, ships to SE and NE Asia and sometimes, it could be cheaper to deliver goods to one region and disseminate the products to different regions as requested. For instance, a particular product for Vietnam market can cost much lower than for Singapore.

Herewith is Wilson's reply to the Moderating team. I believe most of you have not had the chance to read it as the forum was shut down for a while.
Hi,
Whilst it was my intention to answer publicly, I cannot get in. Which may have been better as it would not make it a bigger issue then it already is. It would serve no purpose; after all I am already posted in bad light. Whatever I say will have someone zooming in and then there will be more problems and I so not want to be the cause of it. I will try and make this short but succinct enough. But please realize there certain things that I will not answer as confidentiality is an important part of my business.
As I remember, I was asked whether I was surab or theoRECTAL Scatologist . My answer was "no?are you saying I am". If the question asked of me was whether I knew anything, the answer would be quite different, but I would still not have supplied the details. Asking me to admit what I am not isn't right. Like a journalist who cannot betray his source, I, too cannot do that. I would rather take the fall. This is in line with the other business I am in.
My place has always been very open. It does not matter if it is headphones or my equipment, anybody could come in and use them. Until recently, I allowed Wi-Fi acess. Perhaps you may have seen it perhaps not?but people do use my computer as it is never shut down. My only worry is theft. Since the logs can reflect everything, it can also be seen that I never log out.
In the previous company I worked for, I managed the company's servers and I know that nothing is really ever confidential and it is very easy to track anybody down and everything can be seen by the administrator. I know I can be seen. I was fully aware that PM's in SgHead can be read by anyone with administrator rights.
My passwords are very standard and it is so obvious, and MD5 is a one-way hash and until recently was assumed unbreakable. It only means that the passwords are the same, but my password is really very simple and obvious when people see it.
This may not be the answer you seek or expect but I will not squeal on what I know?I run a business and I have to maintain confidentiality. Everyone is my customer and whatever I know or am told is something I do not release to another person. If I know something and if I can ameliorate the situation then depending on whether the person is receptive, I would try and help out without getting too involved.
I have not even betrayed the confidence extended to me on an occasion for a very important matter and until today nobody knows where I got the information from.
I can be faulted for not talking but I cannot be penalized for something I am not.
This is probably a bad defense in present day context but most people at my age will tend to do the same as I am doing now.
Rgds, Wilson
We have deliberated over all the evidence in hand and also Wilson's reply and concluded that the ban on Jaben will remain in effect. We have considered the possibility of his staff or any other person(s) being the saboteur(s) but Wilson is still responsible for the security of his workstation. Since the beginning, our focus is on Jaben and not individuals and will remain so.
In regard to scanfiend, we have retracted our ban and restored his membership and apologize with our utmost sincerity as there's reasonable doubt that the 'evidence' implicating him are at least questionable.
We hope that all fellow forummers will think objectively and trust that the set of rules and regulations apply to all without prejudice, and serve to protect each and every member and encourage harmony in this forum. We also wish to reiterate the ban on Jaben should not constitute to advising our members against patronage as it's only limited to participation in this forum and nothing more. Service, price and location are the key factors of consideration and not the dealer's status in any forum. This forum has not benefited from any dealer financially, only our members in better discount and pricing, but the Moderating team is grateful nevertheless.
Finally, we will rest our case here and close the chapter for good. Any discussion pertaining to this matter will be removed. We are aware not all will agree on the course of action we undertook nor our final decision. Nevertheless, we respect your choice to stay and continue to grow with us or if you choose to leave, we thank you for your past participation and contribution. Cheers.

Olivia does Bossa Nova, not really mainstream Jazz. Although not a great exponent in this genre, she does inject some youth to her renditions, in a similar way how Astrud imparted naivety and playfulness.

I think it's brightness that causes mr rabbit's discomfort. Meier-Audio used to sell a 120ohm plug that is useful in increasing a can's impedance which also helps to reduce brightness. Since this solution is no longer available and apart from parting with the MS-1, perhaps rabbit could try the reduce brightness via his system components, not a change/upgrade but I assume he is using a DAP and thus, thinking of eq.
