  1. hi, thanks for the advice. Moderator edit: Guys, please discuss in a seperate thread.
  2. selling away mint condition couple of weeks old Grado SR80 with box, bought with the kind assistance of forumers here. Used only once since bought but found it to be uncomfortable for my ears, so have been using my Sennheiser since. Please pm me if interested. Thank you.
  3. yes, i think it will be very useful, since i am a newbie too!
  4. thanks. so happens my cd player's got both balanced (used to connect to amp) and unbalanced (connect to headphone amp) outputs, so quite easy for me to switch. actually both doesn't sound very different, just thought there should be!
  5. Hi, newbie here i just bought a MF x-cans, just wondering whether it would be better to hook up direct to the cd player, or to the pre-out of integrated amp. thanks for any advice.
  6. hah? must burn in the headphones? i tot they sounded great already! obviously this is my first pair, so nothing to compare with. i agree that the ear pads is quite uncomfortable, hard and it hurts me ears after a few minutes of wear. how much are the recommended senn earpads anyway? may consider it, otherwise will probably get ear burn soon!
  7. thanks for organising the mass buy. i collected my set yesterday. must say the sound quality is nothing short of great, even though i do not use any sort of headphone amp. they are quite uncomfortable though, especially for someone like me who wears glasses. maybe i might have to look for better ear pads! cheers!
  8. hi tropicalrips ok, count me in for the sr80s. ramiesh - thanks for taking the trouble to answer my queries. really appreciate it.
  9. the price is very reasonable. thanks very much for letting me know. i'm torn between a sennheiser hd590 and the grado sr80, i've tried the senns at best denki, it is really comfortable, though i did not managed to hear the sound quality. i've read great things about the grado, but it doesnt look very comfortable. anyway, my sis is in the uk, and can probably buy the senns for me at 200+, so thinking very hard. will let you know before cut off date. thanks also for arranging the buy at such a good price. useful for guys like us who are new to head phones. thanks also to mackie for his good and patient advice on beyers.
  10. hi, i may be interested in purchasing the sr80, but want to know the price, cos also considering the sennheisers. are the sr80 comfortable? thanks. please pm or email me.
