Hi for those who thinking getting Dared MP5 for Headphone make sure you have some sort of line attenuator for line in. As the Dared MP5 have a very high gain. Even the AKG 340 still loud.
For speakers is ok...
Dude..get a proper stand for your VR-1s la....haha...

I think best way is to limit the total time you spend on headphones daily.
I'm not so sure about the actual caused of Rameish's and Wil's ringing problems though. The rest, those who use speakers as well, don't think that by listening to speakers will save your ear. NO!!! They are the same, all because of the volume level ! So please, listen at a normal acceptable listening volume level, else you'll regret!
I havent used headphones in a long time...been using speakers for the last year or so...
The ringing is slight, and lasts for about 5 seconds, and happens only when in a quiet environment ( e.g. my room. )
But its been awhile since i last heard it. *fingers crossed*

I was told impedence matching ( esp in SS amps ), is impt when connecting the headamp to the tape out.
i saw a headphone out on one of cary's 300b SETs..
not getting franky to mod a headphone out on the 2A3? :X

I really dont advise that, it will have problems driving a lower sensitivity speakers. Also, most of the smaller bookshelves have impedences that dip way below 8 ohms, and the LD3+ will have problems delivering its power to the speakers.
Unless u use higher efficient speakers with a stable 8 ohm impedence, i dont think you should get the LD3+ to pair with lower effiency speakers.
