  1. It is the same as the HP890. If I am not mistaken, it should be 32Ohms
  2. Hi Zap, you still have this? how old is this?
  3. That's true, but I think for the price, it's pretty decent stuff. I would say that if you are paying that amount, it's actually more sound than what the pricing would indicate. But I just couldn't get the airport staff last week to let me try out the HP1000s. Anyone who's heard it or knows where I can compare it, pls let me know. Thans!
  4. wow, that's a cool price. $65 sounds really good. Yep, any idea which shop that is? Dun worry, I woudn't think you were advertising. I am now looking out for the HP1000, philips also, any idea where I can get them and how much?
  5. Hi all, chanced upon this site just recently and am frankly amazed that there's even a forum dedicated to headphones at all. Anyway, I sort of gave up on headphones couple of years ago after my sony mdr-v5 and senheiser disintegrated and I couldn't get replacement parts for them. I am now looking out for a new pair, thanks to you guys firing up my lust for personal music refinement again. I am looking at either the Sen HD497 or the Philips HP890. But came across the HP1000 last week at the airport. These are rather big cans and I am just wondering if the mp3 players I have can cut it driving them. I have a Muvo NX, which puts out only 11 mW (on website it says 5-7 mW). I also have a Muvo ^2, which puts out a more respectable 30 mW. I currently use a pair of Sony MDR-EX71 for these two players. Any body has any idea what the headphone output on a typical amplifier can put out? I am using an old very well run in Denon PMA-360 amplifier at home for the past 15 years and they drive my old sens very well.
  6. Hi guys, Just found this site today when looking for the HP890 reviews. Where can I get this phones now? I just saw them at Bishan Harvey Norman. It's 99 bucks, full price. I noticed Raffles Audio was mentioned, but I called them at 63341223 and they said they didn't have it. TIA.
