  1. I did a fast comparison of the three headphones and found that I also like the HD381F, although to be honest, with orchestral music I found there isn't much difference between HD381 and HD381F.

I found the HD381B to be too bright for my taste. Didn't listen more than 3 mins, as I really disliked the sound.

The fit was very comfortable and feels quite snug. No need for heady mod, since it is not isolating.

Another interesting thing is, the HD318F was the first pair I auditioned. In the first 10-20 seconds, it's treble sounded a little weird and then it settled down.

Maybe it's all in my brain and I am just crazy. :D

    Nice pair of earphones.

  2. Hi,

If your WTS posts keep disappearing, it is because your post has been deemed to infringe on the rules of this forum.

The most common reason for infringement, is to post WTS or MWTS when you are not qualified to do so.

Who do not qualify to post WTS or MWTS:

    1. A new member, ie. joined for less than 30 days, cannot post WTS or MWTS.

    2. A member with less than 50 post count cannot post WTS or MWTS.

Please read the rules posted in this forum so you can be familiar with them. There are other aspects like:

    a. No discussions or negotiations allowed in The Classifieds.

    b. Only headphones related items can be posted. For other items, please get permission from the mods.

    etc.

  3.

honestly, just do what you think is best. There's no exact science.

    Wise words, direcow. :))

Fact is, not even everyone think burning in is necessary for headphones. While others swear even the AC supply cable needs burning in, which to me, is moving into the metaphysical territory, where physics cannot explain.

Me, I just believe in burning in for things which move (eg. headphones, speakers etc) and also for capacitors which need to form during initial use. Things like wires, hmmm, I leave that to the believers.

  4. Get a line-out-dock to use with the iPod and an amp, you will be happy then. Visit Stereo Electronics with your iPod and headphones. They will be happy to let you try stuff before you buy.

But be warned, your wallet can get hurt.

  5. When using IEMs when jogging, please be aware of your surroundings. Wait you so engrossed, can't hear people warning you of traffic or hear the car horn.

    Be careful.

Having said that, I also use IEM for exercise but only in the gym. Used a pair of MylarOnes, unfortunately they just died.

  6.

Dun forget a small wooden stool, portable radio and lots of old but comfortable T-shirts and shorts so you can get down to washing ALL that dirty dirty LP in the kitchen/bathroom like a good kopitiam dishwasher!!!

How did you....??? I must check my bathroom for hidden cameras now.

  8. Sorry guys. The last few days got this guy started spamming the forum but he started slow and I tried to warn him informally and see what will happen. Don't want to be too nasty and see if he will respect our forum or not. Evidently he didn't care about offending any one.

I have warned him, increased his warning level, etc. etc. And also removed his spam.

Sorry to Singapura for the slow action.

    heady aka bouncer. :))

  9. I am no expert but it seems hum comes from the nature of AC. If the signal wiring is not routed carefully, it is possible for the AC to induce DC current in signal wiring which will cause the hum. Other causes are ground loops. Google the term to read more about it.
