  1. My PPA will be AC powered, so no need rail splitter. The ground will be from the transformer

bpribadi, ok, I can understand that. If the transformer you will use is small enough to fit into my casing I won't mind going that way too. Have you decided which transformer you will use? Unfortunately I know nothing about the rectification diodes etc.

    Thanks.

  2. aaa, not the cost, the space and also my skill level. I am working my way up slowly from easier to more difficult. I just finished my pimeta which actually sounds fabulous but hands itchy to do something to fill the casings I bought. I have a rather short casing which I can use to make a portable PPA clone but with less parts, so that's what I will do first. I am wacko.gif , always do wacky things. Fun lah.

Wow, you are really studying, man. BTW, will you get the Glassman diamond buffer, it is US$40 for all three channel but you have to do your own soldering. Slightly cheaper than buying 4 HA5002 per channel.

  3. bpribadi, my nephew has his harddisk crashed on him during the update and he had to re-install everything inc OS. The IBM workshop people recommended that SP2 be installed on a clean system, so you may have to do just that, ie re-install XP and the SP2 before other software. But updates on all our other computers went without problems. Phew!

We can only tremble at the thought that MS try to get their software in car computers now. Turn the key and the car respond, GPF failure and shut-down??? yucky.gif

  4. digi01, I can spare you a yellow and a red tin if you want. I am getting out of the cmoy tin market biggrin.gif I am planning a pimeta in a nice case, no more sweet tins for me. Actually, I like the red ones better, got more punch. biggrin.gif
