Anyone here like electrostatic headphone ? I'm no doubt one of them whom love a pair of very old staax SR-3. When correctly driven, this is by far the most "real" sound I'd ever heard in any audio "reproduction" system.

No problem, I'm even willing to let everyone listen to it with my headphone amp. I designed it myself. And I don't copy anything published on the net. I didn't know, cans afficianados in Singapore has regular meeting ! Interesting ! Please let me know, I'll prepare some hardware in advanced !

Hi, All I'm new here ! It seems not too many membes talk about AKG headphone here... I personally had quite a few pair of AKGs, Grados, Sennheisersand others... Honestly, My favorite cans is still AKGs be it a Studio K271, or a very cheap K66. There are obvious sonics difference. But they are all very clean and accurate cans. When driven by an appropriate headphone amp ! Although the K271 is not a very comfortable headphone for long minutes (not even hour !) listening, the K501 is good ! Most of my Sennheiser to me is too sweet sounding, to be real. If one looks for an honest cans. I think the AKGs shouldn't be overlook.

I'd a pair of Older Altec 621 in my hall, that I'd did a small modification extending the length of SP cable. So that I can place them 8ft apart. This speakers, prouce alot of bass, I've to set the woofer volume real low. It's musical, it's enjoyable, the biggest short coming is the max volume, one can squeeze from it, before it distorts. Yes! I know, I'm asking for too much for that little price. however, unless you really go for big orchestra sound, this baby is quite adequate for most of the listening. It is connected to my TV, CD player, tuner via a Diva Classic one tube preamp.
