  7. i find meeting for more than 2 hour unproductive u'll get bored in the end...should break it up Mod edit Sorry, you may have unintentionally did it but you have defaulted yourself as this thread is not a discussion forum. See 1st post on 1st page.
  8. seems to be alright now....maybe it needed some burning-in to be done. also im hanging it by the movable straps so that it will be more comforting to wear. love it for games....the positioning is very nice and clear.... now im thinking to get a better soundcard to spice things up prodigy 7.1 came to mind but abit pricey... next best thing is a the gainward H@H i guess... any other recommandation guys?? TIA
  9. I guess you answered your own question. try at least 3 days non-stop run-in. You mean without burn-in it will make u feel funny? When i say feel funny, i really literally feel nausea. My guess was the clamping
  10. i got the HD890 from Specialist Centre. The shop is called Lifestyle Shop. It the Philips service centre for headphone i was told. Got it for $94. Tried to bargain more but need to rush back to work. Wanted the V6 actually but too far to go and buy. Anyway first impression....very detail sound as till i feel its too bright. The bass rocks...deep thump just the way i like it Feeling nausea though after an hour or so using it...dunno why. Will let it run and see how it goes. Anyway im using Philips Accoustic Edge PSC706 as my PC soundcard.Might get the Gainward Hollyword@Home as it using VIA Envy24 chipset. What you guys think abt that?
  11. welcome to the hotel californiaaaa its a lovely place....... thanks mackie...might head down today if i can finish my work... i better log off and get it done now
  12. yahhh saw that. So only at Raffles Home Audio you can get the HP890 ya...abit inconvience to go there actually.....nvrm...thanks for headsup i hope i dun get all crazy when getting my new cans ...if not y'all will see alot of me
  13. U might recall a favourite primary school science project; primitive'long distance' communication using 2 tin cans and a stretched string attached. In addition, do not overlook the fact that Philips HP890 (price varies from $70-99) may serve your purpose. It has oomph in the bass and certainly enjoyable with music unless audiophile standards is paramount. Do a search under 'Home Equipment' for previous discussions on its sound and mods. hi mackie Can't find them yesterday during my excursion. saw the Philips HD860 and HD840 but not 890.Luckly i wrote it down on a peice of paper my selection, if not i have might gone with the HD860 as thats the first i saw. if you know where i might get the 890 then it will be a blast. ermmm any difference between the HD890 amd the HD860/840?? i'll look em up on my side through google right now seems the V6 is the choice for me. regarding the 2 tin cans and the stretch string....yahhhh now i get it, done it before. hope the V6 is better than that i'm no audiophile so any low ends cans that u think can for me is great...ehh it ryhmes
  14. thanks N@Z. heres a review on them the Senn HD497 http://www.headphone.com/layout.php?topicI...ctID=0020080497 yahh my thinking was toward the V6 since its mention alot in this forum. All the Senn i saw was made in China and the V6 was in japan so i guess the quality is there.
  15. Been reading abit these few days regarding the recommanded headphone(err why call them cans??) to get for general audio and usage for my PC(listening MP3 and gaming). My budget is abt < $150 but i'll go the length if the product is really good for my usage. Went out today to look around and found these Sony MDR-V6 $156 <---- lots of people saying this is good so im considering Senn HD497 $109.90 was looking the the grados but couldn't find them....can someone direct me to a good shop thanks Considering these also but didn't manage to find them today Grado SR60 or SR80 Senn PX200
