things not going so well, the toner quite difficult to transfer. going squalle's place later to try again, see how it goes. alot of holes to drill also, going to take awhile to drill

i'm more or less done with the pcb already, if i can get a drill bit tmr, then the amp should be ready by tmr night. if i can't... then its a whole different story

if i can get it ready by tmr, and theres no hum or whatever issues, then i'll release it to you guys

and probably on request, etch a board for a few bucks (at cost price, no profit) or so.

the 2 curly lines ( ~ ) connect to AC from your transformer , + is the top part of the 4 joined diodes you see on the schematics, and - is the bottom one. i'll attach a picture in awhile to make it clearer

siriuz, i raised this idea in Head-fi before, having hot debate there, what you need is balanced output to drive the output stage. I drwan one circuit before, let me dig it out.

the circular ones should be fine, and the ratings should be fine too.

there should be labels on the back of the IEC socket, i dunno how yours is labelled but i have one here thats labelled L N G , L for live N for neutral and G for ground.

12VA will do fine also, but its abit over-specced

unless of course you want to use a high current output stage like squalle intends to

what the 0.1uf cap between the tube and the opamp for arh?

edit: the dc-coupled version of the szekeres doesnt have an output cap, so why not?

@kube: yea i'm going to have an LED part. reminds me! i forgot to get purple LED from slt basement today RLED will depend on the voltage of the LED and how much current you want to feed it.
