Has anyone heard a C-moy next to a Grado RA-1 and compared the 2. I ask for a very simple reason. If anyone has and they do sound similar/same. I might get a c-moy built and sold for guys who can't afford either the Grado or a Porta Corda II.

 

With the high Euro the Porta Corda is getting expensive. Most people in this forum don't know enough abt electronics to build an amp.

If your question is only PCII is available locally for portable amps then the answer is yes to the best of my knowledge. The other battery powered amp available is the Grado RS-1. It's the size of a a CD jewel case and is about 4 cases thick. Good amp IMO.

It is still very very new.. and I've tried looking for the review.Noone seems to have written them at this point of time.Maybe you would like to wait for the review.If you aren't patient, just go and get ksc-55. It has good reputation amongst the newbie headphile.
