  1. Actually, there is a German company in Germany still selling them. However, they only take in Bank Transfers if I remembered correctly.

    Kurt is a nice guy to deal with but he does not have PS-1 to sell any more.

    as I know, PS-1's really sold out.

    Awwww...That's so sad....

    SA5000 = In the box

    HD650 = In the box

    K701 = In the box

    HF-1 = In the box

    E5C = Portables

  3. It doesn't exhibit the piercing highs like most of the grado's in the line does. Bass is punchy and quantity is there but quality wise, it can't compare to that of cans like the HD650 or K701. I think for the HF-1, it sounds pretty close to my ES-7's. Maybe its like an open pair of ES-7s? Punchy bass with quantity, slightly smoother mids and they perform pretty well in the highs region. IMO, it sounds pretty alright but just not refined.

  4. I was thinking of sending my GS-1000's over and get them headphiled by Larry. That Y splitter from Grado really really looks and feels cheap....

    The splitter alone is an additional 25 usd. I calculated, choosing the cheapest wood, 2m cable, deep enclosures, matching wooden tips, splitter and plug wld shoot the bill up to 375 usd excluding the price of shipping. Which added to the cost of the SR225s I have, will almost allow me to buy 2nd hand Rs-1 already...

    All i need is a splitter, some new cables and wooden plug tips. That's all. Maybe I'll change those black boxes saying left and right because they are ugly...

  5. I remembered some crazy audiophile tweaks like wooden volume control knobs that cost nearly a grand as well as balls which look like marbles to me placed in some glass casing that sort of changed the air waves in the air so as to give the speaker sound a little tweak and other snake-oil like tweaks. Its really amazing.

  6. Actually, there is a German company in Germany still selling them. However, they only take in Bank Transfers if I remembered correctly. Somehow, the transaction part was pretty complicated thus I gave up...Anyways, we've got the GS-1000's now and it seems to be getting rave reviews from even Todd of TTVJ so i think its worth a try if you can't get your hands on those PS-1s. Btw this is the details for that German company:

  7. The custom Beyers are nice. But choosing the perfect colour combination isn't too easy. I personally find colours like highlighter yellow with red and black hideous... tongue.gif

    At least, they allow you to customise to your preference. At a fee of cause! yes.gif And it will easily bleach the $500 mark. lol.gif

    Its like the nike shoe. lol.

    huh? Which Nike shoe allows cutomisation?

  8. Razer: How come you don't have Beyer in your list of toys? I'm just curious.... cool.gif

    I don't know....I would like to but somehow i never had one....I really want to have one but I don't see one coming to me.... tongue.gif Maybe you could give me one as my birthday gift next year?? tongue.gif I really really badly want the DT770's....

    If I would ever sell them, I can consider giving one to you for your birthday...... unfortunately I dun think I would sell them. LOL lol.gif

    Why?? Why?? tongue.gif Btw, I saw Mackie's review on those DT990's...they're immensly tempting... tongue.gif

    And they're just a dollar short of $500. lol.gif Sorry, can't resist!

    blink.gif ....lol.... wacko.gif

  9. I think that guy is hinting at you to lower the price of grado SR60.  My advice to him would be "Save the money and you won't regret the expenditure".

    Or monitor the classifieds here and in echoloft. Ocassionally got SR60 for sale. In fact tempted to sell my SR60 and DT880 to fund the DT990.

    As per my review, maybe I should sell all my cans at all-time low prices and fund the DT990. After all, it simply surpasses all of them. Just a thought which I fear to carry out. laugh.gif

    blink.gif You make those DT990 sound like a $25 000 HE90...I guess you'll have more than enough moeny if you sell all of your cans for the new DT990? I read in another thread that thier MSRP is $499.
