  1. Go for the Squeezebox 3, its internal DAC is decent and good for the time being, you can just use its analog out to an amplifier and a linear power supply, this can last you for sometime (hopefully). I am sure you will be spoilt by the convenience using SB3. Upgrade slowly and add in the external DAC. I have not upgrade the power supply for squeezebox yet, still waiting for effective audio to make one for me with the new voltage regulators -_-

to save your trouble, go for the full-sized CDP, such as Wadia 302 as suggested above.

But thinking about it, I'll most probably listen to my music when I'am at my comp...Unless I get the CDplayer rack into my room, I won't have a place to place it...

    [OT Warning:]

    You threw it away?!?!

    What happened? :shocking:

Cause I was new to this hobby at that time and the RCA connectors broke off...Thinking that there was no way to solder them back, I left them there...And in the end, I threw them away... :bash: That was a stupid act...

  3. Hmmm, I been thinking of getting the Squeezebox 3 as well so that I could have a setup based around my comp....At first I was thinking of the electrocompanient CDP but now I may have second thoughts and try the Bel Canto instead....And OMG!! I need an amp...I want back that Earmax that I threw away

  4. I heard some china people unlocked the 904SH.

Just got news from a guy in China who claimed that the unlocked 904sh could be used...He said that he shipped them back to China because of firmware unstability and they are working on it. I dare say all those unlocked rumours are half true because even if they can be used, its not too stable...There's pictures of 904sh being able to be used in China but then again, I wouldn't take the risk...Rather wait patiently for the unlock stable version to come out...I'am now playing with a white elephant 904sh... :bash::grin:

  5. Using a 903SH as well...Waiting for either the Softbank 904SH white colour or Vodafone 904SH black....Argh...

quite alot of ppl offer 1-1 trade for mine 903sh for 904sh... but now it seems lyk 904sh is almost impossible to unlock...

I just bought it anyways....Will be collecting it 2pm tomorrow...Oh, btw, the unlock is out already just that its not stable and is in its infant stages...Wish me luck!

  6. Hmmm, I started last year around April. Got my first iPod photo. It was amazing. Finally, I could have my cd collection on the go. However, things some how sounded a little dead and constrained and I felt that maybe a new earpiece might do the job.

Thus, I went online and saw the Shure E3C on Apple's website. Seeing how cool they looked, I was thinking if they had something more expensive and of higher end to satisfy my hunger...Somehow, I ended up at earphonesolutions.com and bought the E5C's...As I waited for my Shure's to ship, I found headfi and months later, I ended up with the FOTM of that time, the HD650's. A little disappointed because of inadequate amping, I got myself the PA2V2 to check out what those fuss about amps were about...No sooner, I bought a Earmax amp but threw it away because I broke the RCA connectors (the most stupid thing I have ever done).

Then while surfing headfi one day, I found the AD2000's and it was love at first sight. Bought them 2 days later and went for a one to one exchange because of channel imbalance issues.

After settling with my AD2000's I was thinking that my headfi journey has come to an end when I saw the L3000 and SA5000. I bought both of them at the same time and within a few weeks, the K701's came out and I made a preorder.

Somehow, I forgot when but down the road, I managed to pick up the HF-1's as well as the ES-7's. Then something bad happened early this year. My iPod photo 60gb broke and I lost all my songs...Another thing was that all my songs were imported using my friend's computer because my old computer could not even open itunes properly. So I made it a point and got myself a new computer setup as well as a new iPod video 60gb. And I started burning and importing all my tunes into them...

Thinking that my audio journey would soon come to an end, I decided that I should concentrate on buying more CD's...However, I was wrong! The GS-1000's appeared on headfi and wham! I pulled the trigger and made a preorder for them.

From then on, I knew that this journey would never come to an end....Which is precisely what's going on now...I've been eyeing the E500 and W5000 for some time already.... :P

So here are the few cans I'll have to get by hook or by crook before I end this hobby:

    AKG-K1000

    W5000

    E500

    HD700(possible?)

    PS-1

    STAX OMEGA 2

  7. I once spotted a foreigner at sim lim wearing a pair of Grados...Didn't had a chance to move up close and see what model he was using but I felt that it was way too big and looked sorta akward...Its retro looking but the cables are simply too thick and didn't fit so well into the picture overall. Had the cables been thinner and headband narrower, it'll look more acceptable. But I guess its like sound, looks are also subjective. Like I said, to each his own. Oh, and I've spotted E4c's, E3c's as well as UM1's and ER6i's and a pair of E2c's in school before...I recommended the Shure's and UM's to my friends and they bought them... :D

  8. I watched it with my classmates...I felt that it was a great movie...Funny and with a great meaning behind as well. And yeah, alot of times we're getting teary and then he does something funny and everyone starts laughing....Especially the middle finger part... :D
