Den I really dunno what happening to my PPA liao... SOHA too... wheeee whheee all day long.......
-
Sian my ppa started to experience the wheee problem as well. Dunno be default it is there just that i didnt notice it. Now it is same as my SOHA... Now i think it is the interference from the numerous wireless router from my area that is causing this prob. below is just 1 whole list of AP that i detected on my system... linksys11 00:13:10:32:88:DB 11 -75 -97 100 1041 0 12(g) linksys 00:12:17:FF:04:76 11 -81 -97 100 1025 0 12(g) lego 00:14:BF:74:E9:EE 11 -81 -97 100 1073 0 12(g) SpeedTouch996759 00:10:C6:49:0E:30 1 -82 -93 100 17 0 4( @starhub 00:13:10:9B:74:3A 6 -75 -91 100 1025 0 12(g) linksys 00:13:10:FA:A8:AB 6 -88 -91 100 1 0 12(g) MickyHome 00:12:17:FF:3F:65 6 -81 -91 100 1041 0 12(g) 2WIRE249 00:14:95:35:B9:EA 6 -84 -91 100 1073 0 12(g) daunpepaya 00:14:95:3F:5E:F2 6 -76 -91 100 1073 0 12(g) linksys 00:13:10:2A:BC:D9 6 -91 -96 100 1041 0 12(g) zhlx 00:13:10:AF:AE:06 6 -93 -96 100 1025 0 12(g) p32249p 00:13:10:3B:F2:1B 6 -81 -91 100 1041 0 12(g) 2WIRE492 00:12:88:3B:0C:C1 6 -78 -91 100 1137 0 13 AERONET 00:0C:41:8C:35:3F 6 -91 -91 100 1041 0 12(g) SpeedTouch4526FE 00:10:C6:35:AE:9E 7 -78 -91 100 17 0 4( limton 00:12:17:B4:B8:35 10 -85 -94 100 1073 0 12(g) Apple Network f7074d 00:0A:95:F7:07:4D 10 -90 -94 100 1 0 12(g)

hmmm both tan ripple cap is toasted what happen i got no idea ..... rip out those 2 out back to normal... Those STmicro lm317t is cool running much better than the national one....
-
One of the tan cap is toasted. Acutally a ripple cap. But my voltage is stuck at 17 v. I recon 1 of the regulator resistor is toasted as well
-
yea later i gonna do tat..... 317 is a bullet proof regulator when under 1.5 amp with thermal shutdown....
-
It is just the TREAD module that was got burnt... I just left it on for 15 mins.. heng i nv on my PPA... and poof i smell foul... Dunno what happen also... Just that the lm317 got smoking hot....
-
sian got another big problem.. My tread psu in my PPA smoked out....
-
just now i go and ask for fun.... 1 RCA cleartop cost $50
-
I think i know and dont know whats causing the wheees. Maybe i got a lot of ground wires looping around. Just now i managed to get a 15 mins audio bliss of no wheeee...
-
tested the cleartop... quite microphonic.... but the detail is betta than the other cheapo
-
haiz... I gif up on my SOHA humming... too fed up to continue.... i just see how the pcb is going
-
some pic pls~~~ like to see it
-
yep......... 3 inch away... the constant wheee is gone. But this funny faint wheee turn on and off. It seem like some pulsing signal.... My pot shall the same wire ground, so does the pot body ground. Does that cause a loop
-
darm still got the wheeeee... it appear and disappear random.
-
hmmm i just clip them on the ground connection.... so must ground both socket?
-
awww... not the cleartop.... I be on vaction during CNy till 7 FEB ... cannot get my cleartop....
-
yep i used a croc clip. Maybe must soldeR?
-
I think i try using canare mic cable for the input wires.... *Although it clamp down hum by a lot. The faint hum is still there Like Blooze in headwize is having
-
Now it seem like the interference is on a interval... 15 sec later it on 15 sec its off.... I go check it is my router or not *-.- not my router.... siriuz can make 1 pcb for me also ~~ can pay for it
-
okay i trace it down to the bipolar power and the opamp. I took out the tube, now we are only left with these 2. Now i hear the faint wheee again... Any idea?
-
next time i bring it over to you to help me troubleshoot....
-
I follow u coil a bunch of wires around the input wire. Although it drop the whee by a lot. I still can hear a bit of whee and hum... I think the only way to cancel all the interference is to use a PCB...
-
hmmm a fan but it is those big stand one not on my table
