  1. due to the lack of interest for the LD3 amp, BOTH items are no longer for sale. if anyone here is interested and has a plan to travel to Jakarta in the near future, feel free to contact me to discuss the matter further. thx everyone, especially to the fellow forum member (who's interested in the RS-2) who has been patience enough with me while I tried to find a buyer for the amp without much success.
  2. last chance... if it doesn't sell by tonight, both items will be off the market. unless the buyer can swing by jakarta to pick them up.
  3. 3 days left before i leave for SG. rock bottom price on this amp, $270. if it doesn't sell, i think i'll just box it up and put it in storage or maybe it'll be my office rig.. please help me sell my RS-2, by taking the LD3 off my hands.. if the amp doesn't go, the grado STAYS PUT !! (and sorry to the guy who wants the RS-2)
  4. from little-tube's info page: Output Power: Speakers: 3.5W + 3.5W into 8 ohms Headphones: 1000mW into 120 ohms
  5. i'll be in SG in less than a week, this sat-sun (jan 6-7), so time is of the essence. i've had 2 offers for sgd 300, both are MIA at the moment. so i'll be letting the LD3 amp go for $300. please let me know via sms if you're interested. the RS-2 has been reserved, and will be sold, pending the confirmed sale of the LD3. thanks andy +62-812-990 0708
  6. could i interest you in a pair of well-taken-care-of UE superfi5pro? i have posted an IC at the classified ad forum. i'm not so sure whether or not this post is out of line, if it is, will the moderator please help me delete it. thanks
  7. i know it's pretty far fetched, seeing that the tomahawk has just been released very recently in the US. but who knows?? seeing that we also managed to get HF-1 & GS-1000 owners here within a few days of its release. anybody has one, and perhaps willing to let it go? i'll be in SG jan 6-7. thx andy 0812-990 0708
  8. when i first received my ACS T2i, i thought the sound was so good, i couldn't think of any better sound from a portable set-up. so i got myself a PA2V2, at first i really couldn't hear any improvement, but kept on using it for months until the batteries ran out a few days ago. so i tried listening straight from my ipod, and guess what, it doesn't seem 'right'. please forgive a newbie for not being able to explain properly, but the sound didn't come out, it seems dead, lacking in depth, oomph, layers, power. as soon as i got the batteries charged, the music came out 'alive' again. so much better. i am now convinced that amps do make a big difference. now, i'm thinking that maybe i'm not giving the ACS justice by using PA2V2. should i upgrade the amp fo maybe a RS tomahawk, or hornet? anybody in SGheadphones have listed to a tomahawk yet? anybody wants to sell? what amp do you use for your IEM right now? i'm thinking i should stop by stereoelectronics or jaben and try out some IC too. would i hear any difference straight away? they open on sunday?
  9. i guess my question is that for those of you in singapore, can YOU get through the US servers? e.g: can you open cnn.com, or apple.com, or head-fi? thx
  10. just wondering, anybody here interested in a set of (used) CLEAR color UE super.fi 5 pro? it's in an excellent condition. everything in it's original package is complete. for those not aware, the clear version is specially made and sold only in guitar center (in the US). apart from the color, everything else is identical. i had problem with the cables a while ago, and it was promptly replaced by UE. so everything is in good order now. it was bought a couple of weeks after they were released. please let me know if you're interested. and send me your offer. i'll knock a few bucks off if you let me keep the attenuator i'll be in SG on jan 6-7. thanks, andy +62-812-990 0708
  11. just would like to know, is the singapore internet connection (international) to the west-hemisphere servers affected by the recent taiwan earthquake? for example, can you access cnn.com, or apple.com, or head-fi? all internet connection here in jakarta (to the west) is severed, i can't even access my emails because the server is in the US. sgheadphones I can still browse
  12. i am having trouble accessing my emails, possibly due to the taiwan quake disrupting the fiber optic cable please sms me instead. I'm taking the best offer for the LD3, please let me know if you're interested. thx. andy +62-812-990 0708
  13. the RS-2 is spoken for, providing I can get a buyer for the Little Dot 3 amp. No one is interested in a decent tube amp for S$350?? It has an automatic adjuster for the impedance of your headphone. Once you plug in your headphone & switch it on, it will automatically make the gain adjustment for your headphone. Range from 32 ohm for grados up to 600 ohm. I think it pairs well with my RS-2, but the maker tests his amps with his sennheiser (either 600 or 650, i can't remember). So i imagine it will be quite good with the sennheisers as well. The LD3 can also be used to drive a pair of speakers (with higher sensitivity). It has a pair of gold-plated output posts for speaker, ald also a pair of gold-plated RCA line-out for the LD3 to be used as a pre-amp. Just a reminder, the amp offered is the LD3, and not the LD3+. But to be honest, I really do not know what changes has been made to the newer LD3+, as everything looks exactly the same. Here's an information page on the LD3 amp: http://www.little-tube.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=23&PN=1 Please send me your offers!! (PM, emails, SMS) Thanks, Andy +62-812-990 0708 andy.tandean@f1rst.us
  14. still no confirmed takers for either items. the LD3 price is now LOWERED to sgd 350 !!! BOTH ITEMS MUST GO!!!
  15. both items MUST go!! Pls don't hestitate to make me an offer (PM, SMS, or email). All decent offers WILL be entertained & replied to. thanks
  16. Hi all. I have a plan to travel to SG on January 6-7, and was wondering if there is an interest for the items listed above. The Little Dot 3 was bought brand new, and has only about than 300 hours of burn-in. In an impeccable condition, both cosmetically and sonically. Will be delivered in its original packing. It is the automatic impedance adjuster version. The RS-2 was bought second hand. Cosmetically in a very good condition, Left wooden cup is mint condition, Right cup is near mint due to a very small pressing mark in the edge of the wooden cup. I believe you'll need some time to look for it in order to find the mark, it's really that minute. The grill, lettering and markings are like-new. Sonically perfect. Also comes in its original box. Pics of the left cup Pics of the right cup, the mark is evident on the second pic. I'm really hoping to let both go as a package, but will sell individually, providing there's an interest for both items. Will only sell in Jakarta (where I reside) or Singapore during my travel there. Face to face cash transaction is the preferred method of transaction. I have too many worries about shipping these babies. Looking for sgd 900 for both, or sgd 525 for the RS-2 and sgd 400 for the LD3. Please let me know if you think the prices are too high. Both will have to go. Let me know what you think is reasonable, and maybe we can work things out. Thanks for looking. Andy +62-812-990 0708 andy.tandean@f1rst.us
  17. i'll play along.. 4th gen ipod, pa2v2, attenuator, and my crown jewel, custom ACS T2pro.. all my other gears have just been gathering dust: MS-1, RS-2 + LD3, and my clear UE sf5pro.

    UEs Concerns

no problem on my 1st gen clear sf5pro. i had problem with faulty cable, but UE was very attentive and sent me a new cable via fedex. sent on friday, and received in jakarta by monday. super service.
  19. some people at head-fi thought that sensa lacks that 'high-end sparkle'. ACS reportedly has made some adjustment to this matter by changing the high frequency transducer from the knowles (currently used by sensa) to another brand which i can't remember. some people who has both the older transducer and the new transducer thought that it really made a difference in bringing out the detail in the high notes. ACS also offers the longest warranty of 2 years, instead of sensaphonics' 6 months and UE's 1 year. sensa, from what i've heard' has some problem with responding timely to their emails. on the contrary, andy shiach, the MD of ACS answers my emails quite promptly and courteously, even in the weekends. last but not least, ACS worked out my VAT refund for me, i didn't have to do anything, and i save quite a bit. i don't think it's possible with sensa or UE. i still had to pay for shipping though, but even if i went with UE or sensa, i'd end up paying also. no difference there. leaving the transducer change aside, i'd go with ACS anytime over sensa just for the warranty, ease of communication, and price. no brainer for me on the pelican case issue, no lah.. they're only used as storage for the 'back up IEM' they're so big and bulky.
  20. i was thinking of the UE10pro, but i've been hearing some opinions about the ACS T2. it seems that they improved upon the sensaphonics sound by changing the high frequency transducer for an extra 'sparkle' that the old sensa lacks. plus, since the monitors were shipped out of the europe, they were nice enough to arrange for a VAT-refund. it worked out to be about usd 745, which was considerably cheaper than UE10pro. i'm not an expert in the audio field, so i can't explain too much about the sound. but compared to my UE sf5pro, i'd say the difference is night and day. bass was full of impact, yet everything was presented with great texture. i've heard the term 'layered', i guess that could be it. vocal was so lush and full, and they sound so natural to me. regarding the high end of the spectrum, i've heard people commenting about the lack of 'sparkle' with the sensaphonics. i guess the HF transducer change really improved the T2i, because yet again, it performs better than my sf5pro. granted, there was a big difference in the prices, but the enjoyment for me was worth the extra bucks. the only thing that the T2i lost to the UE was the headstage/soundstage, i really have to give UE the nod of approval here. all in all, sonically, i think it is definitely in a different league alltogether from the sf5pro. i'll try to make some comparison to my grado RS-2 + LD3 when i feel up for it. but from my bad memory, i'd say it sounds as good as or slightly more enjoyable than my RS-2 + LD3, mainly because closed-mike vocals were not as punishing as the grado. all these were just my own impressions of the T2i un-amplified, straight out of my 4G ipod. your milage may vary. i had to use the 'jazz' EQ setting on my ipod for the sf5pro, but not with the T2i. afbug, the pelican case is great, don't you think? and no, nobody thinks i'm deaf, yet..
  21. after weeks of wait, and days of poor fit, i finally started to enjoy the glorious sound from my ACS T2i last week. good thing about soft silicone is that you can shave off the mis-fit culprit yourself with a razor. the package closer look at the pelican case's 'automatic pressure purge' gate the T2i close up pic cable joint mini plug what's staying inside the awesome pelican case now?? my older UE sf5pro with custom mold, and the ACS sleepfit. i hope you enjoy the pics, thanks for looking.
  22. newbie's quastion, sorry. what's the difference between the regular supermacro? i couldn't find anything on xin's page about 'superdual' any pic?
  23. dude.. do you have a price in mind and a pic of the amp? that may help.. thx
