Hi all, thanks for the response you all have poured in . I think I will have a try with Grado cans. So far I only heard about the good side of Grado. What i want to know more is actually its drawback(so that i know if i can live with it). Before i place my bet on Grado, i hope some of you might want to give me some advice. ...maybe to stop me from getting it.. Actually, i'm looking for a headphone that can reproduce sound close or better than a pair of B&W 800 series speakers in a perfect room. My humble marantz int amp and tannoy bookshelf speakers just dont do the work in my room(obviously I cant compare an apple with an orange but that's the best i can get with the cash in my pocket in the past). Fidelity in the sound reproduced is the thing that i'm looking for, the clearer it is the more i like it. For the bass, as long as it is in acceptable range than it will not bother me much. Hi all, I'm a newbie in head-fi stuff but i'm very interested to know more about it( i would love to toy with it once ample information is collected). Can anyone suggest to me on the system that i should get - cd player? amp? and even the headphone itself. What are the things that need to be considered? and most of all I'll love to hear about your setup and configuration and please comment on the pros and cons of your setup as well. Little help from everybody, does anybody know how much is Grado RA-1 headphone amp costs in Sg and where to get it? ciao tutti
