just talked to AA a few hours ago...they said that the price for the Beyers will be back to normal at the $400++ range for DT880...and stock won't be in till mid-Feb (tentatively)

i would prefer UM2 ... dual driver compared to single driver for e4c...but i also own e4c...and IMO, UM2 sounds better...

hmmm, my guess was that you were the guy who just called up AA...coz i called them up too inquiring on K701's and the new beyers...and told me that there was another guy who inquired on the k701s as well...

just got word from AA, AKGs (K701 to be specific) is sold out and wont be in till dont know when (yet)...

that long?! ... hmmm... AA is at parklane mall right? (just got confused again)... well i guess i'll have to wait for a month before i get them...probably now ill just go for the AKG K701 first...then try out the new beyer models at AA

I think the K701's have a sweet and wonderful midrange. The bass is definitly there(don't worry, folks, for those who've been through their 501's, its finally back!). Clarity and details are superb. Good buy for such a low price imo... so probably im now looking into the DT990 2006 model...but also thinking of buying the AKG K701..oh my...there goes my wallet again... i wonder what my wife would say?...lol
