  1. Erm where did you get your phones??

If it is local, you may try your luck and bring it back to the store or maybe the SG distributor, they might be able to identify the earphones product ID.

If you got it overseas, just mail it back to Shure USA.

  2. lol...

my iriver iFP is still lasting since 2003.. sturdy little thing..

I have always assumed flash players can last longer than HDDs as they have moving components.. correct me if im wrong though..

    However,

I wont comment on the newer players since I do not own them..

Worse come the worst.. Buy a mp3 player(with reliable warranty) from a shop that provides good after-sales service...

-edited because I realise I have quite a bit of typo.. =X

  3. Hi guys, I went to Adelphi to look for Gredo but cannot find, where else sell ah?

Any advice for headphones under $200 for iPod? Currently using Sennheiser px200

    erm u mean Grado??

Jaben @ Adephi sells them, SE @ causeway sells them as well i think..

Erm.. U can give Alessandro(sp?) MS1 a try as well.. The sound signature is rather close to Grado..

Are you considering IEMs?? They work better with DAPs as they are more efficient as compared to headphones..

  4. lol...

Braxton... instead of helping him decide, you're actually adding another choice.. haha..

erm.. ES2 is a good start in customs, should it gets faulty due to wear and tear and upgraditis hits you again, you can then consider UE10pro..

Oh ya, you should also look into the costs of repairing these phones if they give up on you.. Sensa 2X-S, for example, is quite infamous for having a short lifespan of 1.5-2years due driver problems partly because it has a soft silicon ear moulds.

  5. hmm...

amps benefit more from a line-out... I don't remember NW-501 has one... thou you can amp out from the headphone jack..

You're driving cans... thus an amp will definitely have significant improvement...

Why don't you go jaben/ SE and audition the amps...

as what many has said... different ears hear differently...

    remember to give X-tra, PA2v2, crossroad 2 if you're considering LDM+...

  6. So recently I PMed a seller in the classifieds section inquiring about the HA20 he was selling. But I guess my offer sorta irked him, and I didn't receive a reply.

Anyway, what are the prices of the more popular budget (around.. $200 new?) head amps here? And where do I find them? Ideally the head amp should have RCA outs too, so amps like the CMOY or PA2V2 don't count I guess..

    erm it actually depends,

PA2v2 and CMOY are both portable amps, so being portable, people usually hook it up to a portable device via lineout, so a RCA out is quite pointless in this sense.

RCA, coaxial;(sp??) and optical lineout usually applies for destop amps,so as to be hooked up to a CDP etc.

prices wise, the range is super wide, so i cannot really comment on that. $200 should be able to get you a decent amp in my opinion.
