hey lengcm, which do you like better dt880 or stock hd600. i have both of them with me right now, and find the hd600 is more engaging, more vocal presence (ie forward), more mid-bass too?

does your version of EAC only allow 8x as slowest? mine does, mine is an old version though. is there another program that can burn wav files? i've used cloneCD all the time, only using EAC because i want to make a compliation

i think i have swapped the dt880 with the hd600. i find the dt880 very good, but lacks some drive or energy for faster music. hmm i dunno, could keep the dt880 and get a supplementary closed can for the other music.. i dunno... i've been listening to the dt880 for the past couple of days, extremly good!

what are you favourite mix drinks? mine is vodka and lemon squash.

does EAC have a cd burning option too? i don't remember using it though. i rip to WAV and want to burn onto a cd

i think the sony has a tendancy of being bright. i had a better listening today, listened to quite a few of my good cds, none became sibilant with the dt880. it was just a very few that are bad, and those aren't my favourite cds there is hope! im making a test cd so i'll bring that into a store and have a close listen to some closed cans.

i think the 333es is a decent source right? got some good reputation in america. the amp was corda blue. nah i don't think i want overblown, something that is deep and has impact. the sony 7506 was sufficient for me, probably if it was a bit more tighter. i think the brightness from the dt880s in in the cds i have, some are just beautiful like beck the bass on the dt770 was good, but with people saying it was too much, i don't agree. maybe it was just the amp? the owner of the beyer said that when hooked up with the corda it went more lower and probably more detailed but still as tight. btw mid-bass is around 100hz and low bass is around 20-50 isn't it?

hi there, has anyone had any experience with these two headphones? im wanting to get one of them for my portable setup. im concerned about the sibilance with the dt770, is it really that bad? i have the dt880 at home and find it a bit bad. with the dt880, it's only with some cds that happens, some cds are really good! i've had a quick listen with the dt770, i didn't pick it up. when i listened to it it was connected to a creek oh-11, didn't have alot of bass, probably on par with the sony 7506, but alot more soundstage. i'll probably make a PPA with fishball. also about the etys 4p/s im concerned about the lack of bass and the revealing nature. is the dt880 revealing or bright? because with some cds that are sibilant on the dt880, it doesnt pick up with the hd600. if sibliance picks up on the dt880, would it pick up on the etys too? i think i will be gunning for a 4p instead of 4s given the difference is minor according to happyman. yeah also with the dt880 i find it too laid back for my liking. the etys are like this too right? or do you guys recommend other closed headphones? thanks! peter

i had 6 drinks on a friend's birthday party, actually our birthdates are the same had those drinks probably within 1 hour. i was screwed. last time i probably had around 10 drinks within 1/2 hour, and i was fine, but i think those drinks were watered down. make sure you do not eat just before you drink, dinner comes back up

thanks for the suggestions. during the brisbane meet, a guy who has the dt770s, bioxeed, says they sound alot better with corda blue. he has a creek 11 now, he tried it with the mg head otl, and said way way muddy, not tight at all. i didn't get to test out them with rock music, but with a short listen to leftfield, it sounds good to me, not bloated or sibilance. i'm trying to organise a little meet again with him to have a closer listen. i have the sony 7506 now, but find it terrible for rock music, there is no soundstage. but with electronica hip hop stuff it's pretty good. i just want a decent closed can i dunno about cables and sources, they wouldn't make a big difference? i couldn't hear much difference when fishball came over with his cables. hey Rameish, do you find the hd600 more laidback than the dt880? i think it is the other way around

nice pictures and reviews. though with dialup haha long time loading. i've got the dt880s now, but find them boring for music other than acoustic rock. i mainly listen to rock, electronica. but with these rock and electronica music, i find sibiliance with the dt880s. and im also thinking of buying dt770s as my portable headphone. but as you said, the dt770s exagerates the brightness more? do you think the dt880s and dt770s make a good combo? like for dt880s are really good for vocal slow'ish music, and for the other types of music to use the dt770? i don't like sibliance thanks!
