  1. Just wondering if there are any in-ears that matches the sound quality of the sennheiser mx-500? I've tried a few in-ears such as the HJE50, EX51 and cresyn LMX E630 but none of their clarity came close to the mx-500. I always listen to classical music with my mx500 and i must say that soundstage is very wide and sound produced are very detailed. Most other earphones sound muddy and undetailed when it comes to classical music(i.e. you find that you can hear more instruments with the mx500). Any in-ears that come close to that?
  2. erm.. do note that exchanged goods may not be totally brand new. they may be refurbished products. my sis sent her ipod mini for repairs(something wrong with the batt), and they replace her set with another new set. but the 'new' set broke down about 2 months later and she sent it back. they exchanged another set for her and this set has been working alright so far. cheapest combi for a 5gb player is most likely the creative zen neeon + ck7 or creative ep630 depending on your budget. for a 4-6gb player, there isn't much choice. most likely it is the same few brand (ipod, creative, iriver). You may also want to try the olympus m:robe 5gb which retails for about 299.
  3. but creative ep630 is not neck-chain right?
  4. thanks for the input. guess i'm now down to cresyn E630 and creative EP630. Anyone used both of these before? how do they compare? Any idea where can I get the Sharp MD33?
  5. Ipod 6GB at 240 is quite reasonable. But do check properly the equipment before buying for any defects as Zephyron has mentioned, Ipod mini is not a very rugged equipment. From what I heard, Ipod Mini has a lot of defects and spoils quite easily. So 2nd hand mini isn't a very good idea unless you're buying it from a known friend. Seems like you're interested in a 4-6gb mp3 player, for your budget, you may want to try Creative Zen Neeon 5gb/6gb (if you don't mind Hard-disk based mp3 player), which is one of the cheaper model retailing at <300 at SLS(if i'm not wrong). You can also match your player with a relatively cheaper Cresyn LMX-E630 or the CK7 if you have more money to spare. Also you may want to try the creative EP630. If you have more money to spare, say 300-400+, and you're looking for a 5-6gb player, then I think you should take a hard look at iRiver products. Heard that they sound quite good. If you want something flash-based, I think you should look at iAudio as mentioned by others.
  6. thanks for the input. where can I get the ATK-CK7 btw? I haven't really tried AT products. Heard the UE SuperFi Bi-flange sleeve tends to bring out a lot of treble.
  7. Which In Ear Earphone will you get for less than 100 bucks? I've a few on my mind, but couldn't make up my which one better. Anyway, I listen mostly to classical music and some pop. Boomy Bass doesn't really matter to me, balanced sound with adequate bass will do. Something comparable to sennheiser MX500 would be good. Here's a few of them which are on my mind: 1) Sharp MD33 / Creative EP-630 2) Panasonic HJE-50 3) Cresyn LMX-E630 Please do come up with other recommendations too!
  8. has anyone tried the philips HN-060 active noise cancelling in-ear earphone. Saw it at stereo that day. wonder how it sounds like and how good is it's noise cancelling.
  9. just got one. however, i find that the details, clarity and bass lose out to my sennheiser mx-500. perhaps the burn-in is still not yet complete. hope that it'll sound better after the burning in process.
  10. thinking of getting one. Any cresyn owners here free to answer my questions? What is the driver type of this earphone? and does it require any burning-in?
  11. how much will it be after discount. very interested to get one. can PM me the price when it comes.
