of course if you totally love a particular IEM that has no upgrade to a custom (does ety have customs) or in fact have not settled on a particular IEM that you love, then sure sleeves work. for me.. i wasn't too particular about sound.. i read reviews and the majority described what i would've been ok with so i just took the plunge. nothing risked nothing gained.. fortunately i couldn't be happier. It does help that I don't go aounrd testing every single thing.. so i learn to be content. =)

I was just thinking.. it's gonna cost like a couple hundred to make tips.. or at least i think that's what the shops are charging now... so if i saved that 200 odd, sold my iems, say the um2.. for 200.. i have 400 i could use to get a custom with a lil top up? makes more sense to me...

those are just custom ear tips... i've tried them. better but i'd save that money for customs in the future instead..

most shops would do that no? u're better off doing it urself if u don't mind the hassle... i saved quite abit....

both are very popular and around the same price... you can't really go wrong with either one based on the many user reviews on head-fi... hearyourself has better colours/art avail though, coupled with triple drivers.. livewires only have 2 drivers. I'd suggest for you to go direct to the company, it's not too difficult and you save $$ doing it yourself.

BahTeng, check out the corda headsix amp... there're many good reviews on it online.. and it's one of the more neutral amps out there.. i love the sound on mine and like you,i love vocals and jazz on it.. acoustic music is great too! Brand new including shipping in would be less than 300. Corda's are pretty well known for great sound and build.

oh no no.. i know it's not meant at me =) I'll def try to do what I can do.. but perosnally i was quite convinced by my friend's impressions and reviews online! I mean.. it def can't be terrible.. it's just a matter of ur ears liking them.

the next shipment is has all been reserved so it's hard for me to open up a set.. and it's expensive to open a set just for demo cos it'll be outta my pocket. but if response is good enough I could consider it. I'd have to burn it in properly before demos though...
