1) LMH6622 main/THS4032 ground channel - this is in between the opamps I talked about in my 7/1/08 post. So, the sound falls between LM6172 main/THS4032 ground (for full size phones) and the THS4032 main/LM6172 ground (for IEM). This is good with both full size phones and yet not too forward with IEM. I left mine with these in it for a while, until #2 below came up.

 

2) LTC6241HV main/LMH6655 - this is the "Predator clone" combo discovered by HiFlight. I am finding it good with IEM and full size headphones, and really like it a lot. Here are my notes on this, and it is what I currently have in the D2 right now

How the LineOut work.

The input jack becomes to line out when the USB is connected.

If you only need the standalone DAC, you neither need to turn on the D3, nor need to insert the battery, once the USB is connected, you can have the line out.

Actually you no need to worry about this too much as the battery life is higher than 100hrs.

So let say you use it 5hrs per day,you will need to charge the battery every 20 days.

So you won't need to charge batteries the batteries often.

For the D2 series, Only the D2 Boa ish available new from shop or online.

While the opamp rollable D2 Viper, you could only hunt for Used set.

Erm.. The Viper ish call D2 also,just that it is discontinued.

1)Try getting the shop you bought from to help you.

2)Try phoning up Westone and see what they could do for you.

I don't think so.

Never see Etymotic in any PC show before.

Most of the times only Shures and Audio-Technica.

But you could always make your way to Jaben which ish near Comex or SE if you are living up north.
