  1. Ooooo REM "Automatic for the People"! One of my favourite REM albums, aside from "Green" which was the 1st of their albums that I bought and got hooked on them. Swee.
  2. I may be wrong but it sure looks like..... bluetac? Er, its not you, its the "old guys" here going back to the old toys. I still young
  3. maybe leh... platinum & gold plated LPs... Very very rare!
  4. Not in terms of price. For the its ability, you'd have to spend alot more to get the same results IMHO. The LP12 has a very huge following, many 3rd party upgrades are available. Well, for me I'll be getting a used one to play around with until I upgrade it... erm, actually, more like mutilate!
  5. think I'll just call up all my uncles to see if they hv a nice tt lying ard somewhere too. No harm askin, especially if they happen to hv a Linn LP12! One of the best TT around, if properly setup & maintained. Lots tweaking possibilities but needs some experience.
  6. you are the best, no need to poison! Haha.. Jump in yourself! I'm also waist deep in this damn vinyl crap, but only halfway. If you happen to see "blondie" knock his head a few times for making us spend more money.
  7. Guess he couldn't wait to audition it, just had to get a CDP within his budget just to be rid of that "sticky" Myryad.. yucks
  8. hmm.. that looks vaguely familiar, wonder where I saw that before?
  9. Either that or the babes at NTU really dig music!
  10. But the installation of the recable leaves much to be desired. He should have shortened the lead of the left & right wires until where the heatshrink ends.
  11. Oops, didnt see your request earlier. Well, if you're interested to audition the Magnum MS2i, perhaps when the guys and me meet up at Stereo I'll bring it with me. My stax rig is kindof in a mess right now, perhaps when I get it sorted you can come by to listen... if you are still keen that is.
  12. Tears (of joy) in Heaven - Eric Clapton
  13. Well, its burning in nicely in my can burn-in setup. Out of the box, compared to the HF2 (the only other Grado I have) its way more neutral. The HF2 sounds recessed compared to this. Vocals are more lively and airy. Haven't compared with my other cans, but I consider the others a different group Must borrow one of 2 PS1s I know of to compare, but of course that wouldn't be fair to the Magnum. Nonetheless, I'm curious to find out. Wonder how the PS1000 fairs? Its a different kind of heaven...
  14. Totally agree Well, until I have more free time...... then again, free time better go pub or KTV chat with xiao mei mei BEWARE my friend the slope is a slippery one.....
  15. Lots of arm exercises too. Lots of gaps between songs due to many pre-play procedures But CD can't beat the emotion of the songs, especially vocals. The singers voice is just so
  16. Used to own a Electrocompaniet ECD-1 which worked really nicely for me, not to mention quite chio too. But sold that cos' I wanted to simplify my setup though I still have a Logitech transporter, which I am considering selling. Its quite a good and very flexible DAC as it can connect to the internet via wifi and receive internet radio on top of streaming music from a wireless NAS setup. Not so soon la, maybe after I given it a proper listen. But I do have too many cans lying around and may consider selling it and my HF2, which would mean that I'll be done with dynamic cans. If that's the case, my beloved HP4 will have to go too. Just too little time to provide enough love for all my cans
  17. Well, I did order them quite sometime ago.
  18. Package arrival time again.... what may this be? . . . . . Alessandro MS2i? Yes & no. . . . . . Its actually a Magnum Mod MS2i with APS V3 recable! Wooohooooo.... sure looks damn swee!
  19. ibuds possibly? Back to basics!
  20. But I do remember my dad playing it for me once He told me that that was the time when everything was simpler, love was everywhere and weed was free!
