glad that you're happy with it, i wanted to buy a ATH-CK7 in the beginning but it sounds kinda dead compared to the UM1 and i'll be going down to Stereo some time soon to get some ety triflanges (then CUT THEM SHORT, BWAHAHAHA)

where can i find a sansa e270? (the 6gb model) and for how much? and those that place allow testing first, how about it's refund policy? any input is greatly appreciated.

the UM1 is suitable for people who like their music loud, more warm, sounds more "friendly", is very sensitive, i like the cord-over-and-behind-ear thing, needs a good eartip for optimal sound quality and comfort (my ear opening is quite small, even the supplied short comply tips are too wide for me, ouch), nice durable-looking braided cords the er6i is good at low volumes, good clarity, can hear all the bloody details, i don't like the y-cord (too ipod-y but the er6i is modified from the er6 for the ipod in mind~~~), may need to change filters often (depending on luck and usage), cords look too fragile and a tad too long (microphonics madness) both are easy to drive, (too easy, i might add, i'm using my UM1 at the lowest volume...) the ER6 has a much higher impedence than the ER6i (which just may be the right IEMs for me~~~) EDIT: Nice timing fallraen, btw the demo er6i at Stereo (which is the only shop i go to) uses a triflange (which is prolly too big for most people) and you'll need to get a nice fit for the bass to "come out". personally, i find the er6i's bass punchy and accurate, not too muddy and overpowered like sony's...

it may just be my bloody phone (how come my tech items are always spoiling despite utmost care) i'm going to test the UM1 with my friend's w800i on monday, will post the results~~~

can anyone suggest a suitable DAP for the UM1 (no hiss at all, none, zilch) and i want something quiet... (i usually listen to music at the lowest levels) iaudio U3? Sony E507? Sony HD-5? Samsung YP-Z5F?

but the um1 is VERY SENSITIVE, it's hissing like mad on my w800i and not as bad on my sis's cheapo cd player and little or no hiss on my x-fi~~~ you'll hear things you never heard before (nice and bad stuff , lousily-encoded mp3s, anyone?)

erm, guys, i'm using a w800i with my new um1 and ....... there's a very loud noticeable hiss even the um1 is just plugged in, sigh, i think i bought an overly sensitive iem
